December summary

Well, the month has gone by and I haven't really updated much, so I'm going to do a summary.

Nana Marilyn, Aunt Jodie, Blake and Tyler went up to Chicago with us to visit Daddy at work. We also had a fun day of shopping and got to see Santa!

We also had a pretty good snow fall, which the girls and daddy really enjoyed!

The girls had their first Christmas program with their daycare. They had 4 songs they had to learn with movements. We practiced and they were actually getting it. When their big moment came, Avery was carried in by the teacher..not a good start. They then stood up to start their song and Av saw her daddy. That was the end of her show. Brooke stood up their but never sang a word. Her finger kept finding her nose...great for the home movies!

Christmas came and went so fast. Great Nana was in town so it was nice to see her. We went to Grandma C.'s house on x-mas eve and visited with everybody.

Christmas Day was celebrated here with Nana and Papa. The girls opened one present and were done. The big hit of the day were the dress up clothes. Brooke had every item she could find on.

And I can't forget about Maggie...the hyper dog was so excited when Dave got home one night that she broke her toenail all the way down...ouch! I also said "ouch" with the vet bill....

Good News!

Avery's test results came back negative. Doctors now have her on a milk/soy free diet to see if it helps. It's been difficult to find food that she can have. We just have to now wait and see if things improve.

We made it through...

Just a quick update on Avery's procedure. The doctor said everything looked good but we have to wait for the test results next week. As soon as she awoke from her "nap" she said "go bye-bye?". She's such a little trooper. Hopefully, no more tests!

Worry Free

As many of you know, little Avery has had colon problems for sometime now. We were sent in for x-rays which confirmed she is "plugged" up but showed nothing else. They now what to biopsy some of her tissues. We are set for surgery next Wednesday.

In my parenting worries and researching to the ends of the Internet world the girls enjoyed there dinner as you can see. They didn't have a care in the world!! Which made me realize to enjoy the moment.

Holiday Crazy

Well, we had our first snow on Thanksgiving Day. Nothing much, just a dusting. Brooke was so excited that she wore her "snow hat" around most of the morning.
Avery just enjoyed watching the snow fall and wanted to go outside.
We had Thanksgiving at Aunt Coreen's this year and went to Nana and Papa house for dinner. The girls were so excited to see everyone.

Jodie and I attempted the Black Friday shopping madness at Target. Blake actually made the trip with us...what a trooper! The line wrapped around the side of the building when the doors opened. The smart ones that we are.....we waited in the heated car until the door opened! Why others don't do this is a good question since we all walked in at the same time.

Dave has been working like a mad man in the basement. He's building the entertainment center and now has the fireplace ready to be stoned. It looks great!

Trying this out

We'll, in our "spare" time we are going to try to keep up a blog so that all our family and friends can share in all our crazy days with the "chicks".
